Students at our partner universities are given the opportunity to train as a mentor for PeaceJam conferences.

A PeaceJam Mentor helps us by facilitating small groups of younger students, working intensively with participating teenagers, leading group discussions, projects and workshops. 

Mentors are paired up to create the space and energy to ensure that all participants feel welcomed and safe to engage in challenging discussions based on peace, conflict resolution, and human rights.

Students can also set up their own ‘Scholars’ programme at university consisting of the Ambassadors curriculum, applying academic skills to researching and acting on social problems, coming up with Billion Acts of Peace Service projects, plus mentorship training.

Mentoring develops your transferable skills and employability and you can mentor at any PeaceJam event, anywhere, once you are trained.

You must be aged 18-26 and you will receive full training before the event.
